Welcome back to another episode of the Flying Monkey Podcast. And today we have a mom with us who is fighting to be in the life of her child. And so welcome to the show. How you doing, Camilla?
SPEAKER_02I'm doing okay. Hanging in there, you know?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh, I know. It's a daily battle. Some days are better than others, but when they've taken your child away from you, it's uh I I don't even know if there's a word to describe it. It's just devastating and debilitating and and just it's very painful.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's very traumatic, basically. Every day we're we're living it just to keep going.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, exactly. And we have to keep fighting. And a lot of parents give up too, which is very sad. It's pretty heavy duty stuff. Why don't we just start from the beginning with your story and kind of tell us what you've been through and what's going on and all that?
SPEAKER_02Okay. Uh so my son is five years old, and we started our court case when he was one. So he's basically spent his entire life with his parents in the court proceedings. I originally, uh my case is in Los Angeles County, but originally I was granted full custody and do you know, gave dad visitation, and just the further along we went, the worse things got in family court. And I went from full custody to all these false accusations. Everybody's heard all these same stories. All of our stories are similar. You basically just keep trying to fight to prove that you're a fit and good person and parent. I worked as a teacher, and after three and a half years, uh, we had a minor's counsel come onto the case, and that's when things got really bad. Uh, I started losing custody, I started losing holidays, I started slowly realizing this is getting really bad fast. Um I was literally day two days before my son's birthday. Um, they completely took away custody from me. Uh, he was in father's care for a visitation, and I actually was coming to court to explain that he wasn't giving him back. And the judge said he can keep him. Uh, you no longer have any custody at all, and we're deeming you a flight risk um to flee to Mexico uh to be with my father. It was just the whole thing is like a movie scene, it was hard to believe it all. Um, and I've been fighting for a year and two months now trying to gain them back. And it's funny because I was there in court and I'm a flight risk. Where am I going? I had a job, I had a lease on an apartment, you know, I had a bank account. Uh it was just an accusation that they finally decided as a group to go with and to label me as that because I guess all the other things they couldn't it wouldn't work, I guess, that they had tried.
SPEAKER_01So did the child have a passport at that time?
SPEAKER_02No, I don't have a passport.
SPEAKER_01Isn't that interesting?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then um it was funny because they purposely said to be with my father in Mexico, and my dad doesn't even live in Mexico. So my dad wrote a letter for the courts, and I've been bringing it to every single hearing. Look, here's a letter that shows my dad never even resided in Mexico. So this debunks your guys' whole theory, but they refuse to look at it, they refuse to have an evidentiary hearing, they refuse due process, essentially. And uh it's it's been a nightmare. So then um I started a channel, a YouTube channel, talking about what was going on with my case. I brought in people and interviewed them, similar to what you're doing.
SPEAKER_01And what's the name? What's the name of that? Just so folks can look into that too.
SPEAKER_02Mother with the voice was is my channel. And um, I also gathered some folks together and we protested out front of the courthouse because I was I was upset, you know, and they took my kid, and how dare they? And um the best I got at that point was supervised visits uh once a week. I was paying for that, but I was running out of the money, it's extremely expensive.
SPEAKER_01How much do they charge for uh one session of supervised visitation?
SPEAKER_02It's sixty dollars an hour, and at that time I was allowed eight hours a week, and that totaled up to 1920, so $1,920 a month. Um, I couldn't afford that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, that's insane. So they're keeping their kid from a parent, and they're making him pay two thousand dollars a month to visit in a very unsafe and uh you know, and it's unsafe because it's not it's not necessary. What is it? I mean, the message to the child is I can't see my mom or my dad without a police I mean, a quote unquote police person over overseeing me, and it's someone who's probably not even qualified in behaviorism and has no business doing that anyway. You should be able to be with your children and go to the park and go for ice cream, go to the movies, go to the beach, go home and cuddle underneath the blanket and watch a fun Winnie the Pooh cartoon or whatever, and you know, it it's amazing what they do, you know.
SPEAKER_02It's it's really just silly because they didn't get me on neglect, they didn't get me on abuse, they got me on flight risk, and even then I need to be supervised. It's like this is such a joke. And so I went and did the protest, and two days after the protests, uh a temporary restraining order was granted for dad on me, and then a hearing came came forth, and uh they granted him a five-year restraining order against me for publicly speaking out about my case because according to them, it was coercing outside viewers to attack him. So I have a five-year restraining order on me, and they included my son, even though there was nothing about how I've tried to hurt my son, spoke badly of my son.
SPEAKER_01Yes, that's your first amendment right to speak out.
SPEAKER_02I mean, to be honest, he's not innocent in all this, he knows me very well, and for him to also help create these allegations, so he told them this information to help them articulate the story about a flight risk to flea to Mexico. You know, they couldn't invent that on their own. It's he partakes in all this, so I did mention him when speaking out.
SPEAKER_01That's that's insane, and it, you know, it's funny, you know, because it as you've you've talked to other parents as well, and and and and so have I. I've talked to hundreds and I've looked over thousands of cases. Um, and it doesn't matter who you are, it just they're gonna go after you, and it's usually the good parent, the qualified fit parent. And you know, none of these problems existed before you went into family court, right? And so you are a qualified, fit, loving, caring parent, and all you want to do, you know, all that's happening is the the the marriage is being dissolved and you're separating and divorcing, and that's all that needs to be dealt with. And they end up turning it into this massive horror movie, and um it's nothing but abuse to everyone involved, and it and it's crazy, it's absolutely crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yep, in fact, I kind of have a theory about how it works. I think that when we go into the courtroom, they first analyze who has the most amount of money, and whoever has the most amount of money is who they're gonna keep the child from and hopes that that person pays that money to fight for their kid, and then you know, if the rules change, because like in my in my stance, at first he made the most amount of money, so they gave me full custody. He fought, paid all this money, and then as soon as he lost his job, then all of a sudden it reversed, and then he was granted full custody, and I got nothing. And it was like, I to me, I feel like that's kind of how it worked. They were like, now it's your turn to pay. Let's keep this going. You have the money now, and I really kind of feel like they're looking at it from a financial standpoint of how they can accumulate more finances, and then also out of love, who loves this child more? Because if a parent doesn't love this kid, they're not gonna go ahead and you know take the child away from them because you know the other parent who loves the kid is gonna fight more, invest more time, invest more money. And I feel like that's who they want to take the kid from. They kind of just watch it and they see who's gonna invest in effort.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, there's so many facets to it, and so many actors, and there's bad actors in in the system, and even those who allow it to happen, they're bad actors. I mean, you can't stand by and watch someone being beaten and not do anything about it, you know. You know, either step in and stop it, or something to say, this is not correct, this is not fair, and it just gets out of control. So, yeah, there's people in there that that learn, okay, we gotta make money, and there's also a higher, deeper. I think if you go all the way to the root, this is all intentional, and it's connected with a lot of different things that have been happening, and it's about destroying the family, destroying the kids, creating abused people that are have problems so they can get fed back into the mental health process, and then they end up in jail because they've been without a parent or the father, or they've been abused, and all these different situations. So some know exactly what they're doing and some don't, but the folks who started this knew exactly the result, and this is the purpose, and it's horrible. And I can't believe with so many people that have been speaking out and so many cases happening that nothing's being done. And you know, we had talked earlier about you know, people make changing laws and things like that. You know, I you know, I respect him. I I I you know God bless him for doing it and fighting really. I mean, but the problem is we don't need new laws, the laws are already there. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and the freedom of speech, and the freedom to be a parent. We have a right to parent our child. We created those children, and the you know, it's not that they're property, but yet they uh they are in a sense because they're your children. You created them and brought them in the world, and it's our responsibility as parents to do that. And so when the other parents allowing this thing, this to happen, no matter how you feel about someone, there's people I don't like, there's people that don't like me. But you know, I don't wish them death, I don't wish them to be in jail for nothing, I don't wish them anything. It's just like, you know what, you're you know, your bad news, you know, just go on your side over there and good luck to you, and you know, I'll pray for you. And you know, and that's all that you know, that's it. And so there's no reason for any of this to be happening, and it's and and and parents don't even know that the game until they get into it. I mean, a few do, you know, if there are a few people, but very rarely does someone know if I do this and I say this and I do that, I'm gonna just get them. And it's the lawyers, you know, and it's like, do you want your kid? Well, yeah, I want my kid. And our society's taught us to be so selfish and so me focused. A lot of people they don't even have the capacity to think critically enough to say, you know, my actions have consequences. And they're just destroying everything, and they're destroying their own kids by by by doing this. And it's it's be they don't get it. They don't even, I mean, they don't you can't say you love your kid if you're keeping them from their their other side of the family.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01It's it's just it's just there's no sense to it. And millions of years we lived as a humans on this planet without family court, without mental health, without lawyers. You know, we were all in our little tribes and groups and communities, and we had, you know, both parents and both sets of grandparents and cousins, and then we all live together and close to each other. And the plan is to separate us. Look what look what everything that's happening is a result of 60 years of of of this system and divorce court and all this stuff meddling in families, and it's it screws the kids up, and they just perpetuate the same thing over and over and over again. So it's just a complete train wreck.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And and going going off of what you just said, too, the biggest thing that I always think about is I mean I don't know the law like an attorney, but the the well-known thing is we have our laws in place, they're just not following them. Number one thing that comes to mind, and it's in all the movies thou shall not lie, cheat, uh, and murder, right? Those are the ones that they always say lie, cheat, and murder. But those are the three ones that they're committing in family court. They're lying on us, they're cheating us out of our kids, and then some of the parents are dying. You guys have problems from doing that. Yeah, so the three basic things that everybody knows that are literally in the constitution, in the laws, the things that we're supposed to live by, they're not following. So making more laws is not gonna stop them.
SPEAKER_01Um exactly. It's so simple to solve these problems. I mean, it it's it's two to three days, maybe a week. You know, and if the parents can't come to a conclusion and they want to actually be you know fighting over this and that, then you make your list, make your plan, submit it. You've got six days to do it. I want it on my desk. There's two of them, review them. Okay, this looks good, here we go. And and you get it done. Or the judge, and I don't even think we need family courts. I mean, what the hell do we need a court for to get a divorce? You know, you didn't have to go to you know, you just signed a you know, you signed a marriage certificate, you can sign a divorce certificate and you're done. But they want your house, they want your bank account, they want they want this, and then they end up getting federal funding to continue this uh this abusive process that they're doing, and it's just it's all about money for me.
SPEAKER_02And I remember thinking that same way, like this can't take very long. When I went in, we were never even married. So I was like, great, we don't have assets to split, we're just gonna discuss how we're gonna, you know, split visitation. And here we are, it's been over four years, and our case is still active. I'm like, we are in this till my kid turns 18. This is that's what they want, you know? It's just they find a way to just keep it going, and then not not to mention family court. I've been in small claims court, I've been in um I've been in uh I'm we're about to go into probate court, uh, been in civil court, and then I've I'm filing for federal court. It's like all of these different courts just to try and gain custody back, my kid. Like, this is insane, you guys. This it shouldn't be this way. But if you do go to other courts, they I hear the same thing. They can't they can't overstep. You gotta go back to family courts. Like, why can't you guys intervene?
SPEAKER_01Well, they could, but they don't because they protect each other and they they know the game and the system and they want to keep their space and and have their future powers go on to their head and they think they're all hot stuff. You know, you're not rock stars and you're not kings and queens, you're just you're just a person, and you have no right to destroy these children, and they're destroying children, and then they're destroying parents, and then the grandparents and the aunts and uncles and the family, and they're destroying society because when you've got bad actors and kids that grow up a mess, they're just gonna go out and perpetuate all kinds of problems, and you're just making it worse. Yeah, so you know, you look at all the fatherless communities that that exist, and as it grows and grows and grows across this globe, you got all these it's just it's a nightmare, it's a total nightmare.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're making this now um generational, basically, trauma. It's not just affecting us, it's affecting our kids. And it and it it just it doesn't end. Also, yeah, the grandparents, the cousins, everybody else that's involved. I mean, this is just almost like a disease that's just spreading. It's affecting so many. And yet nobody's talking about it, nobody's doing anything about it. And I'm just wondering at what point do we have enough parents that are committing suicide where they realize this is an issue because I I get it, it freaking hurts every day to wake up to go to bed. We think about our kid every freaking second of our life. I stop just in a store seeing another person with their child, and I go, that looks so nice. Wish I could have that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, I know, or you start crying. Yeah, you know, I mean, I wish I could write these when when it happens, uh, because I live it too. And there's these moments that just are devastating. I mean, you're just driving and all of a sudden you see kids playing in the park, and you're like, why can't my son play baseball? It's insane, it's totally insane. But the thing is, that's why I come back to this saying it's intentional. This is intentional, this is not a mistake. You know, they they blatantly break the laws and don't follow the rules and don't enforce their orders, and it's on the record, and they just go ahead and do it anyway, which shows you the arrogance they have and the the evil intent they have. Um, and you know, they are either you know, they're just they're just it I don't even know. You could put a million different labels on them, but it's just it's just no good. So where does it stand right now in your in your case? I mean, do you get to see your your your child or yeah?
SPEAKER_02So I currently have supervised visits only once a month for four hours. Um I live in another state now, so I make the flight over there. I pay the $240 a month to see him in addition to the flight, in addition to the rental car, in addition to a place to stay, you know, all that to see my kid because at the end of the day, I understand some parents are choosing not to because they want to make a point that you know we shouldn't be paying to see our kids, and I agree we shouldn't. But I feel grateful in a sense that I get to see him when some don't. So I'll suck it up, pay that money, and then it reminds him every month that I'm still trying.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, yeah, and how is your interaction how is your interaction with him?
SPEAKER_02Uh so I'm I'm fortunate enough that my son's only five. I've heard a lot of other parents, their kids are older, and you know, they've been brainwashed essentially to just say my kid is young, he he's he that hasn't happened yet. I'm I'm I'm very grateful for that. Um I have noticed some changes in him though. Um if I go to hug him or kiss on him, he just kind of freezes, he doesn't know how to show that same love back. And I've looked it up online, and it's basically meaning he's not getting loved at home, so he doesn't know how to show that same affection back now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that could be it, but it also could be don't do that. Um, told that. So, I mean, you know, that's why I talk about the mental health thing. It's you know, they put out a lot of sound things that sound good, but it's not necessarily true. Everything is based on behavior, and behavior is learned. So we learn, you know, people act the way we imitate our atmospheres, I guess is the easiest way for people who can't comprehend the the logic behind the behind the truth of it all. So what you know, yes, he could be imitating his his atmosphere where there's not much affection and all that, or it could be that he's being told that you know something, something, something that makes him fearful. And and he's there's consequences to anything that they do. So they're stuck, you know. But one thing to realize too, just so you know, no matter what ends up happening or how far it goes, hopefully it'll end soon. The attachment is always there. Even if they're not showing it. So when kids are rejecting their parents and saying, you know, you this and that, and I don't want to, you know, that doesn't mean they don't love you, and that doesn't mean that the attachment's there. So if you could remove them from the abusive situation they're in, it it would click. Yeah, I've I've recorded that, and it just takes time, and not a lot of time. There was a study done years ago, and there were monkeys, a monkey community and a research thing, they were watching and studying their behavior. So um separated mom and babies were together, they attached, then they separated them for a time, and it was a sub you know, a sus substantial time. And then when they reinduced reintroduced them within every baby found their mom immediately. I mean, within seconds to minutes. So, how is that possible if there's not a natural attachment, right? Yeah, so that's how strong our attachment systems are as human beings, and that's another part of this whole scheme that they're doing, is that they know it affects our attachment systems, so they separate us. That's why they separate the family. They put the kids there, you know, separate them, take your grand your parents, throw them in a home. All this stuff that we think is good to make our lives better is not. It's designed to separate us and damage our attachments, and then we're a wreck. So that's food for thought, folks. We can talk. We'll touch base on that another time. And then and and the forcing us to do a supervised visitation. and pay for it. And it's like slavery. It's just it's frustrating.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's unit's uncomfortable. Yeah. You can't even enjoy your time at its when you and we can't attach if we're not comfortable. Yes, exactly.
SPEAKER_01So that's the reason they do it. Remember, so there's seriously, there's some serious behavioral theory and learning theory and attachment theory that all explain everything that they're doing, why they're doing it and what why it's happening. You know, it's pretty messy. But um there's another thing that was wanted to talk to you about that I thought was super cool. Because I I you know I for my kid I wrote a book too. I made a I wrote a book and I didn't publish it for everyone.
SPEAKER_02It was for him you know but uh and it worked really great you know and uh and so you wrote a book a children's book so I wanted to talk about that tell us about that uh so I wrote a children's book called the connection that can't be erased it's uh it's sold on Amazon um it's uh uh available on Kindle and then it's available on paperback and uh I wrote it so that my son could understand what parental alienation is how I'm being kept from him instead of you know choosing to be away from him you know there's uh obstacles that are basically making this possible and I do make it at an elementary level so it's it's it's told from the perspective of the child and how he must be feeling and how he's adapting to basically his new life from being taken from mom and put into dad's care. And at the same time on the other side of the page it shows how mom's being affected by this. So it's giving a little bit of perspective for the kid to understand mom's just not out having parties you know she's hurting because you know nonetheless once I released that book I I did get some folks that are going through it contact me and say you know it's not just moms, it's dads and I go you're right it's dads so I'm working on the second book about a dad being alienated from his kids and it'll be out uh probably next couple weeks.
SPEAKER_01So oh that's really cool. All right so your next step is uh you and I need to connect and I'll write the music and the songs and uh we do a cartoon. That'd be cool yeah yeah that'd be really cool uh I uh I'm not much of an illustrator I used AI for all my drawings and it was definitely a learning experience but I feel like anything's possible there's as much as we can do to get you know the awareness out there we can get it you know we can get the third party to do that work so it takes a team anyway right so it does it takes a team I mean I got all sorts of ideas I wish I could do so yeah yeah I wrote a song but I have it's also hard to perform it and play it too I kind of it just you know it's tough so when you're writing that stuff and you're expressing it it's sometimes it's hard to complete so that's really good that you were able to do that.
SPEAKER_02I I know exactly what you mean uh I pretty much cried the entire time writing my kids book and it's gotten to the point where I don't even like to read it and I'm I'm so grateful um I've been on another you know podcast where they wanted me to talk about my book and they said you want to read it to us and I was like I'd rather not exactly well is is it is there an audio book version of it as well or no I don't have the audio that's actually a good point and I do hope to um make a third book eventually because I'm trying to basically do like elementary the next book is middle school and the third book I want to do for high schools and each time because I'm trying to do it geared towards that age level I'm trying to actually explain it a little bit more because of the they're able to you know understand a little bit more and comprehend it. So that's my goal the next book will be for high schoolers and I can actually explain it more because once a high schooler this happens to them they start to hate their parents and it's kind of sad. So I hope that parents to reconnect with their kids that way too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah and the the sad thing too the schools are involved in this as well. So you know I mean it it's so much so much inner you know uh what's the word I'm looking for from all angles they're getting tagged and hit and you know pushed away from their parents and told these things are right and yeah I think the only thing I wanted to say is I actually worked as a teacher um when all this happened and the restraining order being slapped on me actually makes it to where I can't go back to work. Really?
SPEAKER_02Yeah because they included my son on the restraining order. And when you go and apply for a job if uh do the background check they get questioned like why is your kid involved in that restraining order and they start to make assumptions like oh she might not be safe with kids so it's kind of put that barrier up on me. But that's okay. I need this time to kind of for myself because I don't know if I'd do too well anyways. When I was at the end working as a teacher my kid was taken uh I kind of would be around those kids and it would it make me more emotional and sometimes I'd be sad because they're you know they remind me of him or I can love on this kid but I can't live on my own. You know it was it was just a whole mindset that was really difficult to live with. So uh I needed that break I think from working with kids anyways.
SPEAKER_01Yeah well plus it it's debilitating what they do to us. So it just it's so abusive and they you you can't function sometimes just normally or on a normal level because you just you know it's PTSD it's you know it's all kinds of trauma so you know it's it's pretty horrible you know so but Camilla thank you so much for coming on today and talking with us and sharing your story and everyone check out her book.
SPEAKER_02That'd be cool. That'd be cool.
SPEAKER_01You know hopefully you know when you're getting close to doing the next one and any updates or let us know and we'll have you back on and just keep praying and fighting and and working together and try to you know that's the one thing I'd like to see too is more unity. Yes more people working together yeah to to just get this to stop you know exactly we all need to come together that's the only way it is it's it it has to be done.
SPEAKER_00So and there's some people working on it but again they're on their own path in their own way with their for their own reasons so we need to we need to kind of have a you know a bigger group yeah yeah yeah all righty okay well thank you thank you very much for being on the show yeah no thanks for coming on we'll talk soon thanks for watching the Flying Monkey Podcast like follow and subscribe to our social media sites on Facebook X YouTube Rumble TikTok and Truth Social You can also go straight to our webpage at w dot flying monkeypodcast dot com.
